Job Description

NetImpact is seeking a creative, energetic, and strategic Product Marketing Specialist with strong attention-to-detail and excellent writing skills to help lead marketing efforts for our innovative portfolio of software products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including product management, business development / sales, and client services as well as external stakeholders to drive awareness, generate demand and sales leads, and support products sales enablement.

Responsibilities

  • Align with Marketing, Product, and Sales teams on strategy and messaging to product marketing and sales content including:
  • Product Positioning and Messaging: Research and craft compelling positioning and persona-based messaging for each product, tailored to the specific needs and pain points of customer communities.
  • Content Development: Develop high-impact product collateral to support sales and marketing in print and digital form, including but not limited to: white papers, reports, blog posts, eBooks, case studies, articles, sales presentations, data sheets, slicks, website content, brochures, demo videos, Youtube shorts, etc. This may include working with or interviewing subject matter experts (SMEs), visual design and production specialists, and other support functions.
  • Event Collateral Development: Incorporate (or conduct independent) pre-event research (e.g., audience demographic, interaction type, etc.) and lead design team to create compelling and visually engaging content or prepare forum-appropriate collateral for conferences, tradeshows, or exclusive meetings.
  • Design and conduct digital lead generation campaigns via various channels including LinkedIn, Google, industry associations, tradeshows, direct email, call campaigns, etc. others as appropriate to engage government audiences and partners.
  • Support product and capability asset development and announcements to drive awareness and generate demand, including developing and implementing marketing plans for product launches and updates, providing copyediting support for product collateral (e.g., user guides), leading ideation and development to define effective value proposition, etc.
  • Research target audience and recommend most effective medium of outreach based on buyer information consumption preferences and purchasing habits
  • Direct, develop, or assist with development of conferences and tradeshows materials (e.g.: banners, displays, promotional items, etc.) that align with product narrative
  • Develop a variety of content across the buyer’s journey to create demand for products and support the sales process and recommend measurements for continual optimization
  • Stay up-to-date on American news and decisions, including legislation, budgeting, agency strategic priorities, and technical trends, and conduct research of competitive analysis to align marketing activities and maximize effectiveness

Qualifications

Required 

  • A minimum experience of 5 years in marketing, advertising, presales/business development roles; at least 2 years dedicated to product or software products
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, advertising, communications, or IT
  • Adaptive and exceptional written communication skills in English backed by a proven track record of diverse product content developed or supported
  • Strong strategic thinking and genuine curiosity to make connections between industry trends, corporate goals, and marketing opportunities
  • Self-starting problem-solving and robust analytical skills with the ability to direct or conduct research and translate market insights into actionable plans
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and add value immediately in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, with proactive follow-up and demonstrated reliability to communicate status and work with a remote team
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication, problem-solving, organizational, prioritization, teamwork, and customer service skills with ability to adapt to American cultural norms (e.g., learn operational tempo and style, apply language nuances to written content, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize and support multiple concurrent tasks, including supporting beyond regular hours to meet surge demand and deadlines
  • Must be comfortable working and interacting with senior management (internal and external)
  • Basic knowledge of sales and marketing tools, including SEO content, Google Analytics, CRM applications and dashboards

Preferred

  • MBA (good to have)
  • Experience working in B2B/B2G marketing and sales highly regarded
  • Federal Consulting Industry Experience Preferred
