Job Description

The role of an Application Developer involves assisting in the development and support of software applications. Under the guidance of senior team members, you will participate in coding, testing, and debugging activities. This role focuses on learning and applying best practices in software development, contributing to the design and implementation of application features, and ensuring that deliverables align with project goals and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of applications using .Net and AWS technologies.
  • Support the integration of cloud-based solutions using AWS.
  • Write basic code and assist in debugging under the supervision of senior developers.
  • Help implement security best practices in applications.
  • Participate in application testing to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to gather requirements and develop solutions.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation for application design, code, and deployment processes.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to develop product features and capabilities to deliver business value.
  • Responsible for software engineering using custom development frameworks and languages (.Net,.NetCore, JavaScript, Angular, C#, SSL, HTML, XML, webservices, etc.) and AWS Native Technologies
  • Responsible for supporting software operations and maintenance including addressing software patches, errors, bugs, and vulnerabilities
  • Ensures solution is developed to security and quality standards, as well as configured for performance, scalability, upgradability, and re-usability.
  • Assist with developing test cases to ensure software meets communicated requirement.
  • Assists with turning requirements into user stories with clear definition of done
  • Assists with estimating level of effort for completing requested features and capabilities.
  • Updates documentation in alignment with any changes made to software in each sprint.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in application development using .Net and AWS technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of .Net frameworks, C#, and AWS services.
  • Familiarity with development tools like Visual Studio and AWS SDK.
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills to assist in troubleshooting and optimizing applications.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members.
  • Certifications: AWS Software Developer, MS Azure Developer, Google Developer, ISC2 Secure Software Lifecycle Professional, ICP, SAFe SA

  • Experience with Agile Software Development, AWS Tools & Services, GitHub, DevSecOps, BizDevOps, CI/CD Pipelines, .Net, .NetCore, JavaScript, Angular, C#, SSL, HTML, XML, Webservices, Bootstrap, SoapUI, Azure Dev Ops, Chrome/Edge/MS Office, Selenium, SonarQube

Preferred 

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Developer – Associate are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Federal Consulting Industry Experience Preferred
