Job Description

The position of Data Architect involves designing and managing the organization's data architecture. You will develop data models, define data standards, and ensure data quality and integrity across systems. Collaborating with business stakeholders and IT teams, you will align data architecture with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Your role includes optimizing data management processes, implementing data governance frameworks, and providing strategic guidance on data-related initiatives.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain the data architecture, including data models, databases, and data integration processes.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and availability across all systems.
  • Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Optimize database performance and scalability to meet organizational needs.
  • Implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
  • Document the data architecture and maintain comprehensive metadata.
  • Plan/executes application releases through Production/Pre-production.
  • Leads solution and technical design efforts to enable project enhancements.
  • Conducts research and troubleshoots complex technical challenges.
  • Performs hands-on advanced technical development work as required.
  • Collaborates with client and external stakeholders to guide the technical direction of data management.
  • Leads data centric solution and technical design efforts to enable enhancements.
  • Assists with estimating level of effort for completing requested features and capabilities.
  • Conducts research and troubleshoots complex technical challenges.
  • Performs hands-on advanced technical development work as required.
  • Guides Data Management Best Practices (Design, Models, Quality, Governance, Integration, ETL)

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of database design, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Experience with data integration tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Certifications: DAMA CDMP, AWS Cloud Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer, Solution Architect Certifications, Machine Learning Certifications, ICP, SAFe SA

  • Experience With Agile Software Development, Data Management, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, AWS Data Tools & Services, Azure Dev Ops, Chrome/Edge/MS Office, MS SSMS, SoapUI, Selenium, SonarQube, Liquibase

Preferred

  • Federal Consulting Industry Experience Preferred
