Application Testing Specialist (Senior)

The position of Application Testing Specialist involves leading and managing testing activities across projects. You will design test strategies, coordinate testing efforts, and mentor junior testers. Your responsibilities include analyzing requirements, developing test plans, and overseeing the execution of test cases. You will collaborate with stakeholders to validate software functionality and ensure adherence to quality standards. This role requires advanced knowledge of testing methodologies, automation tools, and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on requirements.
• Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing of applications.
• Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools.
• Implement and maintain automated test scripts.
• Provide detailed test reports and metrics to stakeholders.
• Ensure testing processes comply with industry standards and best practices.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
• Collaborates with stakeholder to test features and capabilities to ensure software products meet mission needs.
• Ensures that the software products observes the programs quality, performance, and security standards.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of inspection activities, the detection and resolution of problems, and the delivery of satisfactory outcomes.
• Generate and provide feedback on test status, test progress, product quality, and process quality.

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in application testing using skills specified in the document.
• Proficiency with testing tools and frameworks.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Certifications: Certified Software Tester, CAST, CSQA, CQE, ICP, SAFe SA
• Experience with: Agile Software Development, AWS Tools & Services, DevSecOps, BizDevOps, CI/CD Pipelines, Azure Dev Ops, Chrome/Edge/MS Office, SoapUI, Selenium, SonarQube

Preferred

• Federal Consulting Industry Experience Preferred
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are beneficial.
