Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Project Manager - Level IV to join our team in the DC, VA, MD area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project planning, leadership, and management, with a strong ability to oversee complex IT programs and manage multidisciplinary teams. This role requires independent thinking, minimal supervision, and the ability to effectively communicate and coordinate between business and technical teams.

 

Responsibilities

  • Project Stages Planning: Develop detailed plans for each project stage, considering business implications and ensuring alignment with overall strategic goals.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources efficiently, including technical staff and other necessary assets, to meet project requirements and timelines.
  • Technical Team Leadership: Lead and guide the work of technical staff, ensuring they understand their tasks and the project's goals.
  • Supervision: Perform independent thinking and complex tasks with minimal supervision, and potentially supervise others in their roles.
  • Business and Technical Liaison: Act as the main point of contact between the business side and the technical team, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project requirements and progress.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor project progress to ensure it meets deadlines, standards, and cost targets.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve any problems that arise, interfacing with other functional support groups and outside personnel as necessary.
  • Complex IT Program Plans: Develop comprehensive program plans to address needs and requirements, ensuring that all aspects of the project are covered.
  • Capital and Operating Requests: Prepare requests for capital and operating budgets, ensuring they align with project needs and constraints.
  • Subcontractor Staff Management: Oversee the work of subcontractors, ensuring their activities are aligned with project objectives and standards.
  • Interfacing with Outside Personnel: Engage with external personnel as necessary to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Work and Personnel Organization: Organize and direct the work of multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Complaint and Problem Resolution: Address complaints and resolve issues associated with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Master’s degree.
  • Commercial (Baseline) Certificates: PMI, PMP or equivalent as approved by COR, ITIL 4 Foundation.
  • Eight (8) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency.
  • Security Clearance: Secret Clearance.

Preferred

  • Federal Consulting Industry Experience Preferred
