Job Description

NetImpact Strategies, Inc. is seeking to hire an IT Service Desk Specialist to support a Federal Agency.

This role is located 100% onsite at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia

Candidates must be able to pass a background investigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance, troubleshoot moderate to complex issues, and escalate as needed via phone, email, or chat.
  • Act as an escalation point for specialized technical support and resolve assigned tickets from local users.
  • Maintain and support the IT Service Desk queue, ensuring work orders follow knowledge base guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and support software, operating systems, and Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and Government off-the-shelf (GOTS) applications.
  • Provide desk-side and remote support for LAN, WAN, wireless, hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Perform hardware support tasks, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and repair.
  • Ensure cybersecurity compliance and maintain standard OS and software baselines.
  • Manage IT inventory, including equipment staging, installation, testing, DRMO disposal, and lifecycle management.
  • Support mobile devices, including cell phones, smartphones, tablets, pagers, and mobile hotspots.
  • Provide 24/7 on-call support, responding remotely and on-site as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Experience: Four (4) years of progressive experience in required proficiency.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalency.
  • IAT II certification per DoD 8570.01-M requirements (CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CySA+ **).
  • CE: Associate (professional preferred) level certification.

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Experience in Federal Consulting roles.
  • Advanced certifications in IT service management or related technologies.
  • Familiarity with DoD IT environments and security requirements.
