Mid Level Cable and Wiring Specialist

NetImpact Strategies, Inc. is seeking to hire a Cable and Wiring Specialist to support a Federal Agency.

This role is located 100% onsite at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia

Candidates must be able to pass a background investigation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, test, terminate, and maintain network cables, including Fiber, copper, and other cabling systems.
• Troubleshoot cabling and wiring issues and work to resolve them efficiently.
• Test and verify wiring drops in accordance with industry standards.
• Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on network infrastructure.
• Ensure proper cable management is performed in network closets, data centres, and customer locations.
• Document all network issues, diagnostics, and resolutions.
• Ability to read engineering diagrams for buildings and cable plant.
• Monitor and report on network performance and connectivity.
• Collaborate with other teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and security guidelines.
• Assist with the installation and support of Local Area Network (LAN), Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) infrastructure.

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

• Experience- Four (4) years of experience demonstrating the required proficiency
• Education- High School Diploma or G.E.D. /or equivalency.
• Candidate must be eligible for a Background Investigation.
• Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI)
• Ability to work onsite at Fort Eisenhower, Georgia

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications:

• Previous Federal Consulting Experience.
• Experience with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN), and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
• Additional certifications in networking or related fields are a plus.
