Job Description

NetImpact Strategies, Inc. is seeking to hire an IT Service Desk Specialist to support a Federal Agency.

This role is located 100% onsite in Oak Harbor Naval Clinic, Oak Harbor Washington.

Candidates must be able to pass a background investigation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and system issues via phone, email, or chat, escalating complex problems as needed.
  • Act as an escalation point for technical support, specializing in assigned technologies and ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
  • Manage and resolve assigned tickets, ensuring alignment with knowledge base guidelines and maintaining IT Service Desk queue efficiency.
  • Provide desk-side and remote support for LAN, WAN, wireless networks, operating systems, and COTS/GOTS applications.
  • Perform hardware support tasks, including troubleshooting, configuration, integration, installation, and on-site repairs.
  • Ensure cybersecurity compliance, maintain standard operating system/software baselines, and support software installations.
  • Support IT asset lifecycle management, including inventory tracking, disposal, and staging/testing of new equipment.
  • Manage mobile devices (smartphones, tablets, pagers, hotspots) and support call center telephony, including call queues, installations, upgrades, and scripting.
  • Handle emergency service outages and performance degradations, responding remotely or on-site as needed.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including Monthly Progress Reports, Asset Inventory Reports, Ticketing Metrics, After-Action Reports, and weekly briefings to the Task Manager.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Experience: Four (4) years of progressive experience in IT service desk support.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalency.
  • IAT II certification per DoD 8570.01-M requirements (CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CySA+ **).
  • CE Certification: Associate level (Professional preferred).

Preferred Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Experience in Federal Consulting roles.
  • Advanced certifications in IT service management or related technologies.
  • Familiarity with DoD IT environments and security requirements.
