Job Description

NetImpact is actively seeking a detail-oriented and motivated QA Software Tester to join our award-winning and innovative team. The ideal candidate will understand the importance of maintaining high-quality web and mobile applications that support real patients and clinical providers who are seeking to empower patients with pertinent educational content, so they are better equipped to take an active role in their treatment and health decisions. As a QA Software Tester, you will work closely with our project, QA, and development teams to identify issues, perform testing activities, and contribute to the overall improvement of our product quality. This position is ideal for a QA professional who thrives in a fast-paced Agile environment and is ready to apply their expertise to ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of mission-driven digital health tools.

 

Key Responsibilities:

In their position, the QA Software Tester will be expected to:

  • Execute manual test cases to identify defects, bugs, and usability issues across desktop and mobile applications
  • Assist in the creation, maintenance, and execution of test plans, test cases, and testing documentation
  • Perform exploratory and edge-case testing to identify unexpected behaviors or inconsistencies
  • Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing using tools like BrowserStack or similar platforms to simulate virtual environments
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other QA team members to reproduce, diagnose, prioritize, and resolve reported issues
  • Document test results, track defects in test management tools (e.g., Jira), and communicate findings in a clear and timely manner
  • Stay current on QA trends, tools, and best practices; share learnings and apply new techniques to improve testing effectiveness; recommend improvements to testing procedures, workflows, and documentation
  • Support after-hours, once-a-month releases and ad-hoc releases as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2–5 years of experience testing software in an Agile development environment
  • U.S. Citizen; eligible for a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (Active clearance preferred)
  • Experience testing across mobile platforms (iOS, Android) and using virtual testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack)
  • Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies
  • Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr Squad, Xray)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills; ability to write reproducible bugs and thoughtful test coverage
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present testing insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with BDD and/or automation tools such as Gherkin, Selenium, or Python is a plus
  • Commitment to continuous learning and interest in staying current with QA best practices and emerging tools
