Job Description

Our company is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to design, implement, and maintain the IT architecture for the PIOps Division. In this role, you will develop IT strategies that align with business goals, ensure scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure, and lead cloud and on-prem solutions. You'll collaborate with development, network, and security teams, continuously research emerging technologies, and advance the agency’s IT capabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain business, systems, and information processes to support enterprise mission needs
  • Architect and implement secure enterprise systems, including cloud and on-prem components (vSphere, Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, IIS, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS/DBaaS)
  • Develop and execute IT strategies aligned with business objectives
  • Lead cloud computing strategy and deployment in public, private, and hybrid environments
  • Integrate systems using Infrastructure as Code, high-availability, and DevSecOps principles
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to optimize IT systems and processes
  • Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies and trends to recommend improvements
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on IT projects and solution architectures
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security protocols
  • Develop and document administration and architecture standard operating procedures
  • Participate in security and compliance assessments and audits
  • Act as an internal consultant on architecture and technology trends

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT architecture or related senior roles
  • Proven ability designing scalable, secure IT systems, including cloud and on-prem platforms
  • Hands-on experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS), containers (Kubernetes), and virtualization (vSphere)
  • Strong understanding of IaC, DevSecOps, and HA architectures
  • Demonstrated collaboration with software, network, and security teams
  • Deep knowledge of security frameworks and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent strategic thinking and communication skills

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Federal agency IT experience
  • Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS/Azure Solution Architect, or similar
  • Experience in enterprise database, middleware, and identity services architectures
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture tools and frameworks (e.g., FEAF, Zachman, TOGAF)
